FORKLIFT CHAMPIONSHIP

Forklift championship – a test of professional skill and an open day of machinery and entertainment.

The ALWARK Forklift Championship is a public event where forklift operators compete for the championship title, while visitors have the opportunity to experience modern material handling equipment firsthand, test machinery provided by event partners and simply enjoy a great day out.

Bringing together logistics, professional skill and the industry community, the championship offers a unique opportunity to showcase operator expertise, explore the latest equipment and technologies, and connect with professionals – all in one place, on one day.

What is the championship about?

The concept behind the championship is simple: to create a safe and exciting environment where forklift operators can demonstrate their precision, speed and machine handling skills, while companies can support their teams and promote professional pride.

More than just a competition, the event offers a vibrant atmosphere with spectators, live demonstrations and activities throughout the day.

When is it held?

The ALWARK Forklift Championship is held once a year in spring. The exact date and registration details are announced in advance.

What value does it offer participants and companies?

For participants:

  • The opportunity to test their skills through unique practical challenges.
  • Hands-on experience on a professionally designed competition course using modern equipment.
  • Networking with fellow operators and professionals from the logistics industry.

For companies:

  • Increased employee motivation and engagement.
  • An opportunity to demonstrate commitment to professionalism and workplace safety.
  • Greater visibility within the industry and the wider logistics community.

How is the championship structured?

The championship typically features two competition categories:

  • Individual competition, where participants are evaluated on precision, control and task completion time.
  • Team competition, where success depends not only on speed but also on consistency, with each company usually represented by several operators.

The finals are often the most exciting stage of the event, where victory can be decided by fractions of a second.

How long does the event last?

The championship is a one-day event, combining competitions, live demonstrations, equipment exhibitions and entertainment for visitors.

Who can participate?

Professional forklift operators representing companies from Lithuania are invited to compete. Companies may register both individual participants and teams, with the team competition typically consisting of three operators representing each company.

How many participants take part?

The number of competitors varies each year, but previous events demonstrate the scale of the championship.

  • The 2026 championship brought together 103 operators representing 41 companies.

What else takes place during the event?

The championship offers much more than the competition itself. Visitors can:

  • Explore equipment exhibitions.
  • Discover machinery and live demonstrations presented by event partners.
  • Test a variety of vehicles and equipment, with previous events featuring motorcycles, off-road vehicles and professional tools in dedicated demonstration areas.

Additional attractions are also organised for families and children, including entertainment zones, activities and competitions, making the event enjoyable for visitors of all ages.

Customer Testimonials

The event was exceptionally well organised – everyone was welcoming, friendly and genuinely attentive. Everything ran smoothly. The day flew by; as soon as you finished one challenge, it was time to focus on the next. The communication was also clear and helpful—even though we arrived late, everything was explained in detail so that we could still take part.

Everything was first-class. Thank you!

Operations Director at UAB “Nordix”

The challenges were engaging and of a moderate difficulty level, and the event was exceptionally well organised. Next time, it would be great to see challenges involving a reach truck (such as the Linde R16). For spectators, additional screens displaying the live action would also enhance the experience, as the crowds sometimes made it difficult to see the competitions.

Giedrius Genys

Excellent event – I really enjoyed it. The challenges were engaging, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I’ll definitely be taking part again. It would also be great if the championship were held in Klaipėda from time to time.
