Need help choosing the right equipment?

Pallet changing equipment consists of pallet changers that allow loads to be transferred from one pallet to another without manual unloading and reloading. The load remains intact, while only the pallet underneath is replaced. Alwark supplies PSV ULTRA series pallet changers, ranging from the basic ULTRA LIFTER to the ULTRA MULTI, designed for changing multiple pallets, and the mobile ULTRA MOBIL. This equipment is used in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, logistics, and manufacturing industries where pallet changing is performed regularly. For transporting pallets between different areas, see pallet trucks.

  • For high-volume operations – ULTRA MULTI can change several pallets at once, making it suitable for high-intensity pallet-changing processes where operations are performed regularly and in large volumes.
  • Mobile or stationary – ULTRA MOBIL can be moved between different workstations and is suitable for various pallet types and sizes. Stationary models are designed for permanent pallet-changing locations near production lines or warehouse loading bays.
  • Reduced manual handling and injury risk – automated pallet changing can reduce the need for manual load handling, potentially lowering the risk of workplace injuries and load damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does a company need pallet changing equipment?

Pallet changing equipment is typically used when wooden pallets cannot be used in production or clean areas due to hygiene requirements, when export markets require a different pallet standard, or when a company uses its own pallets for internal logistics while incoming goods arrive on different pallet types. In such cases, manual unloading and reloading is often the alternative, but this generally requires more time and labour.

What pallet formats are supported by PSV ULTRA pallet changers?

The PSV ULTRA series is designed to handle EURO (800 mm), INDUSTRY (1,000 mm), 1,200 × 1,200 mm, and GMA 48″ × 40″ pallet formats. The US-GMA model is designed specifically for the GMA format and features height-difference compensation. ULTRA COMBI is suitable for narrower pallets, while ULTRA MOBIL is designed to handle various pallet types.

What is the maximum load capacity?

The basic ULTRA LIFTER is designed for loads of up to 1,000 kg, while ULTRA CARGO can handle loads of up to 3 tonnes. When selecting a model, it is important to consider not only the load weight but also load stability and the number of pallets handled per shift. Based on these requirements, Alwark specialists can help select the most suitable configuration.

What warranty and service are provided?

New equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Spare parts are generally covered by a 6–12-month warranty, depending on the manufacturer and type of part, with selected parts covered for up to 5 years. Service work is covered by a 6-month workmanship warranty. Service is available throughout Lithuania.
