Goldhofer Minor Aircraft Damage is an aircraft transport and recovery system designed to safely relocate aircraft that have sustained minor landing gear or tyre damage. The system enables the rapid removal of aircraft from the runway or apron when they are no longer able to move under their own power due to a technical fault. This reduces runway closure time, prevents flight delays, and ensures continuity of airport operations. The system is part of the Goldhofer ARTS (Aircraft Recovery and Transport System) product line.
The “BISON” D 1000 can service military aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of up to 400 tonnes.
The tug comes equipped with a 200 kW DEUTZ TCD 7.8 L6 diesel engine, an automatic ZF Full-Power-Shift transmission, and permanent four-wheel drive.
A tractive force of up to 305 kN, a standard all-wheel steering system, and the option to select front-wheel or “crab steering” modes ensure precise maneuvering even in confined airfield spaces.
The model can be fitted with an open, enclosed, or elevating cabin, a remote control system, a central lubrication system, and other equipment adapted for military operations.
