Linde Material Handling is expanding its portfolio of robotic solutions with the addition of the autonomous R-MATIC reach truck. This truck transports palletized goods of up to 1.6 tons fully automatically to high-bay racks, storing and retrieving them independently at lifting heights of up to ten meters.

AutoTUG the world’s first automated yard tractor
In some regions personnel costs a significant factor in container terminal economics. Furthemore, it is sometime difficult to recruit terminal tractor drivers. Under these circumstances, automation can be an attractive option. In fact, Terberg is convinced that in future automated container yard operation will become widespread. As a family-owned business which always takes a long-term view we have committed to a substantial research and development project in this area. The first result of the project, AutoTUG, the world’s first automated yard tractor, was introduced at the TOC container supply chain trade show.

Last year, Linde Material Handling launched a new product family of driver's seat and stand-on platform pallet trucks and double stackers. Following the introduction of trucks with a lateral or frontal stand-on platform, models with a lateral driver’s seat are now being launched on the market as a second step.
